Hidden Women in the Archive: Collectors, Curators and Cataloguers: handling session 21 August

“Hidden Women in the Archive: Collectors, Curators and Cataloguers” – a temporary display at the Ure Museum will be showing until 10 September. On 21 August, the Ure Museum will host a handling session and short talks from 2-4 pm in the Museum. Facilitated by Ure Museum Curator Professor Amy Smith, Assistant Curator Jayne Holly, and Research Officer Dr Amara Thornton, this will be an opportunity to present what is known about their lives and interests, and to handle original documents held in the Ure Museum archives relating to the women profiled in the display. There will also be an opportunity to find out more about the Ure Museum’s collections and their history more broadly.
