UoR Community Festival

If I could ask for something similar to this year – £800 – £1000ish would be amazing!

Thanks,

Faaris

Faaris, what are you asking for £-wise? Annette

Thanks Annette, please see below:

After what I am hoping to be an extremely successful inaugural festival, the Community Festival will be an annual event taking place in the University of Reading award-winning Parkland campus hosting a free family-friendly extravaganza. Created by the people of Reading, for the people of Reading the event will bring together residents, students, charities, businesses, and talent. With outstanding live music, theatre and performance, street food and a packed program of hands-on activities for children and grown-ups to get involved with throughout the day. Let Reading start the summer season celebrating what makes us a diverse and welcoming community.

The overall cost of the event is around £20,000.00 and this covers the infrastructure for the event, marketing, performers, workshops, and additional staffing. Like this year, we would be sourcing funding from our Students Union, other grants such as the Universities Art Committee Fund and local businesses to sponsor the event.

We really hope to have the grant accepted and working with you for any Community Festival event moving forward.

Thanks,

Faaris
