Thanks very much for letting us know Annette, that’s a shame. This is our one big annual event so we won’t have anything else to apply for – perhaps we could include it anyway please, just in case!
Best wishes

Hi, I can certainly submit it, but in general trustees don’t consider events that have already taken place.
if there’s something else you’d like to apply for it might stand a better chance!

Hi Annette
Many thanks for your message. Could you hold onto our application and consider it once the grant round opens please, even though this will be after our event.
If we’re able to receive some funding after the event it will be enormously helpful in recouping some of our costs.
Many thanks

Amanda, I’ve just opened the grant round see Grants | The Friends of the University of Reading
As you have an annual event, you could perhaps think of applying for funding now for next year’s event – citing this year’s as an example of the sort of thing it will consist of and of course any more details of what you might do in 2024 – otherwise our timing and yours is such that you will never get to apply!

Hi Amanda, I’m afraid the Friends grant round isn’t open yet, though that doesn’t really matter as we can hold your application until it is.
However, there is a problem in that the decision on grants wont be made until April/May time which doesn’t fit with your need I suspect.
Let me know what you’d like to do.

Hello
We would like to apply for some funding towards an art exhibition hosted by the University of Reading Chaplaincy.
We will be exhibiting the Forgiveness Project (www.theforgivenessproject.com) in the main University library foyer from 6-10 March. It is a thought-provoking photo-journalistic exhibition of individual’s powerful stories on the theme of forgiveness. We have also invited the project’s founder, Marina Cantacuzino, to deliver our Annual lecture during the exhibition week.
We will be promoting the event widely across the town and hope that some local schools will respond to the invitation to attend with groups of pupils.
The overall cost for the week is £1200. We have applied to the University Arts Committee for a grant of £600 and would be grateful for any amount you are able to contribute to help us cover our costs.
Do let me know if you need any further information from us.
Many thanks
Amanda
